Battleship Cove offers free entertainment to those who want to relax with a wholesome family movie as the evening settles down.

Operation Dumbo Drop (Walt Disney): This action-packed comedy stars Danny Glover, Ray Liotta, and Dennis Leary as green berets faced with a “weighty” mission: to replace a South Vietnamese village’s prized elephant after it is killed by the North Vietnamese Army during the war. The unpredicted challenges of secretly transporting this jumbo-sized cargo make for big laughs. “Operation Dumbo Drop” is rated PG for war action and language.

On the Front Lines: The War Years (Walt Disney): During WWII, the Disney Studio was used to create training, propaganda, and educational films. This selection of cartoons from “On the Front Lines” stars Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy in a variety of roles, with the goal of inspiring the American public to rally behind their country in the war effort.

Note: Propaganda in art and film often visually demonized the enemy as a strategy to evoke a patriotic spirit among the American people, with the hopes of renewing and strengthening their commitment to the cause. In light of this concept, some cartoons may contain racially sensitive content. While the standpoint presented in these cartoons is significant when seen from a historical perspective, it does not reflect the current social and cultural values embraced by Battleship Cove.

Please note: Film selection is subject to change without notice.
