Will you sponsor a field trip to Battleship Cove for deserving students?

A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY: Certainly Battleship Cove is one of New England's most affordable field trip destinations: At just $5/student, the museum gives schools a lot of "bang for their buck."

However, travel expenses prevent many schoolchidlren from visiting Battleship Cove, often representing more than 75% of a field trip's total cost.

So many of us were first introduced to Big Mamie and her berthmates during field trips, but now school budget woes threaten to prevent an entire generation of youngsters from discovering Battleship Cove.

You can make a difference by sponsoring a field trip to Battleship Cove. Your contribution of just $450 sends 16 students on a journey they'll never forget.

To learn how you can sponsor a field trip, please contact the Education Department.

PRIDE OF THE FLEET: Fleet Bank is sponsoring free field trips for Boston schoolchildren for "Pride of the Fleet," a Battleship Cove educational initiative designed to inspire academic excellence in underprivileged Boston and Worcester schoolchildren.
