Welcome Aboard! You and your students are about to embark on an exciting journey filled with explorations and discoveries. Let this Curriculum Guide be your map of discovery as it guides you and your students to the past, present and future. Students will explore history, geography, science, language and more as they participate in the hands-on, collaborative activities within.

Students can use the knowledge and experiences they gain aboard Battleship Massachusetts to make real world connections to the classroom curriculum. Critical thinking skills, experiential learning, and inquiry will guide your students through an educational adventure they will not soon forget.

All content and activities are based on the Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine Learning Standards.

PEARL HARBOR DAY AT BATTLESHIP COVE:
On December 7, Battleship Cove will commemorate the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by hosting a brief ceremony at 12:55 p.m. -- the exact hour of the Japanese strike. Located on the Battleship Massachusetts, the service will include wreath-casting rites prefaced by brief remarks from Battleship Cove's Executive Director. Subsequently, attendees will be invited to adjourn to the Pearl Harbor Room to share perspectives on Pearl Harbor and its timeless relevance.
