  • July 9 - Family Nautical Night
    Spend the night on a WWII Battleship and sleep in restored Navy bunks, eat chow-style meals and enjoy educational nautical programming. Price includes dinner and breakfast and all-day admission. $65 per person. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 508-678-1100 ext. 101/102.
    July 19 - Marine Museum, Film Series "Little Mermaid"
    Join the Marine Museum for the enduring story of Ariel, the little mermaid, in this classic Disney movie. Free for members, $5.00 non-members. 7:00pm
    July 24 - MassVets Musicfest
    Fantastic music, friends and food! Battleship Cove will host the 2nd annual MassVets Music Fest in partnership with the Veterans Voice Radio Show. Featuring bands rocking out to classics on the fantail of the Battleship. This is a concert you don't want to miss! All activities are included with general admission. All veterans, active duty and first responders will receive free admission and a free lunch at the Carousel Pavilion. Veterans' Services Expo will be held on the pier, and will provide information on various services available to veterans (beginning at 10AM). 9:00am-5:00pm. Come on down and show your support for those who serve this country selflessly!
    July 27 - Marine Museum, Maritime Art for Kids (Ages 4-8)
    Mermaids and More. Hear the story of the legend of mermaids and make your own mermaid scratch art masterpiece. $5.00 per child. 2:00-3:00pm.
    July 29 - Free Fun Friday
    Battleship Cove and the Marine Museum open their doors FREE to all visitors. 9:00am-5:00pm. Made possible by the Highland Street Foundation.
    August 3 - Marine Museum, Maritime Art for Kinds (Ages 4-8)
    Sea Creatures. Learn about many of the most magnificent sea creatures from folktales and then create your own sea monster! $5.00 per child. 2:00-3:00pm
    August 6 - Vietnam History Day
    Visit Battleship Cove's collection of Vietnam-era helicopters and ships. Special talks from Vietnam veterans, tours and living history displays will be showcased throughout the day. Special FUNshops will be offered as part of general admission. 508-678-1100 for more information.
    August 12, 13 - Andrews Brothers Musical Performance
    Do you recall those great songs from the 1940s like "Hold Tight," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," and "On a Slow Boat to China?" Do you remember the USO Shows of World War II? Then sail on down to Battleship Cove's production of The Andrews Brothers, written and created by Roger Bean, with Music and Vocal Arrangements by Bean, Michael Borth and John Newton, and grab some tickets before they sell out. It is an evening full of great music paying tribute to the shows of World War II. This musical is packed with 27 popular and novelty songs including "Mairzy Doates," "Rosie the Riveter," "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" and many more.

    The show will be performed under the stars on the fantail of the battleship USS Massachusetts, Friday and Saturday, August 12th and 13th at 7:30 PM. Rain date is Sunday, August 14th.

    Written and created by Roger Bean, who also brought us The Marvelous Wonderettes and Forever Plaid, the show is set in the South Pacific during WWII and follows brothers Max, Lawrence and Patrick who were rejected from the military and are now working as stagehands for the USO. Along with pinup girl and opening act Peggy Jones, the brothers prepare for the next show starring the Andrew Sisters. When news comes in that the singing trio is quarantined due to chicken pox, the brothers and Peggy know the show must go on for the troops.

    The show stars Mario Moniz, Joe Plozai, Frank Wilhelm and Sherimae Costa and is directed by John J. Nunes.

    Tickets are $30 each, Members and Seniors are $25, Students $20.
    There will be a VIP Reception on opening night, Friday, August 12th. Tickets are $50 per person, Members and Seniors are $45 and includes VIP seating, a cast meet and greet, hors d’oeuvres and beverages and a guest pass for a return visit to Battleship Cove.

    All proceeds from the show go toward restoration efforts at Battleship Cove.

    August 10 - Marine Museum, Maritime Art for Kids (Ages 4-8)
    RMS Titanic. Visit the museum's 28 foot long model of the unsinkable Titanic. Make your own Titanic sculpture in the craft. $5.00 per person.

    August 17 - Marine Museum, Maritime Art for Kids (Ages 4-8)
    Sea Rescue. See objects from the Marine Museum's collection of artifacts used to make sea rescues. Create your own rescue device in craft. $5.00 per person. 2:00-3:00pm.
    August 20 - Marine Museum, Clambake Benefit
    Support the Marine Museum’s work to protect and share local and national maritime history by attending its annual benefit. Enjoy a traditional clambake under a tent on Gardner’s Neck, Swansea.     September 3-4 - World War II Weekend
    History comes alive when over 50 World War II Allied and Axis living historians arrive at Battleship Cove. See an exciting display of equipment, artillery and vehicles as you talk with veterans and relive the history of this important moment in history. All activities are included with general admission. Rain or shine.
    September 11 - Rite of Reflection Ceremony
    In memory of the nation's deadliest terrorist attack, Battleship Cove will conduct a Remembrance Ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial at 8:30am - the time of the first attack. The ceremony will be followed by a 21-gun salute from the USS Massachusetts. Ceremony is open to the public.
    September 17 - Engine Room Tour
    Explore the rarely seen inner-workings of the mighty battleship MASSACHUSETTS with engine room veteran Hugh Doyle. Find out what it took to propel her to important battles in the Atlantic and Pacific during World War II. Tour includes admission to the museum, boxed lunch and a souvenir Snack Ration box. $45 members, $55 non-members. Space is limited and reservations are required.
