DEED OF GIFT
WRITTEN MEMOIR

I, ______________________________ (interviewee), of ___________, _______________ (city, state), hereby give, convey, and assign to U.S.S. Massachusetts Memorial Committee, Inc. (hereafter referred to as the Memorial Committee) which is currently in possession of my written memoir(s) consisting of __ audio tape(s) to have and to hold the same absolutely and forever. I understand that the Memorial Committee will use my oral memoir for such historical and scholarly purposes as they see fit and that by this conveyance I relinquish:

1) All legal title and literary property rights which I have or may be deemed to have in said work.

2) All my right, title and interest in copyright which I have or may be deemed to have in said work and more particularly the exclusive rights of reproduction, distribution, preparation of derivative works, public performance and display.

I herein warrant that I have not assigned or in any manner encumbered or impaired any of the aforementioned rights in my written memoir.

I, Christopher J. Nardi, as the duly appointed representative of the Memorial Committee, Inc. accept the written memoir of, _________________________(interviewee), for inclusion in the Memorial Committee archive and research collection.
