Battleship Cove is home to one of the world's largest collections of PT 109-related artifacts, including:

PT 796, which was painted with the hull number "109" and towed through President Kennedy's 1961 inaugural parade
PT 617, the world's only exhibited Elco-made PT boat (same as PT 109)
A PT 109 life jacket remnant that washed ashore in the Solomons after the boat was sunk by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri
