The Women's Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery is a
unique, living memorial honoring all military women - past, present

who have served in our nation's defense during all eras and in all

In the late 1980's, Rhode Island's Bryant University launched
a nationwide search for letters
written by civilian and military women during World War
II. That search has resulted in the assembling of an archive of
30,000 wartime letters written by United States women.
