Battleship Cove primarily collects, identifies, catalogs, preserves, conserves, and makes available to the public items of historical and educational nature particular to the vessels located at Battleship Cove, as well as the maritime heritage of Fall River. This focus is on US Navy Battleships, US Navy Destroyers, US Navy Submarines, US Navy PT Boats, and items related to UH-1 and AH-1 Helicopters, and those that served on or with these historic entities. This would include tools, equipment, uniforms, photographs, and other items that may have been used with the ship or aircraft.
Due to space limitations, we can only accept items that fall into the below criteria:
Women in WWII/WAVES/USMCWR/WAAC/WASP/SPARS collections
US Navy and US Marine Corps. collections
Collections on earlier model vessels of the name MASSACHUSETTS
State of Massachusetts' naval heritage collections
WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, and Gulf War collections
Fall River Line and RMS Titanic collections
The museum preserves these historical artifacts to share with the public and future generations through enhanced exhibits, preserved displays, and research.
