Workshops for September Homeschool Day:

• SOLD OUT! 10:00 AM Sir Circuits: Find out what makes the world tick in this circuit building class. Students will learn about the basics of electricity and what it means to complete a circuit. Once they have mastered the basics, students will attempt to create their own basic electrical machine! Activity does not include a take home electrical machine.
• 10:00 AM Triage at War: Learn about the evolution of medical advancements throughout the past 200 years, with an emphasis on WW2 and how this impacted each military branch.
• 10:00 AM & 11:15 AM Morse Code: Learn about the importance      and usage of the morse code system. From the morse code alphabet,      deciphering messages, and using your sense of hearing, students will      immerse themselves in this one of a kind experience as it takes place in      our of our original radio rooms.
• 11:15 AM Lose Lips Sink Ships and The Art of Secrets: Learn about the importance of keeping secrets from your neighbors and enemies as you may never know who might have been listening in or reading your mail during war time. Much like it was 80 years ago, OPSEC is still widely enforced today because after all, loose lips, can sink ships. 
• SOLD OUT! 11: 15 AM Combustion Engines and Machinist's Mate (Chemical Reation Car): Learn about what it took to be a machinist mate during WW2 and all that was involved in their job. Take it one step further and attempt to become one yourself as you make your own chemical reaction car and see if you have what it takes to operate and maintain a Battleship. Includes a take home item.
