Workshops for September Homeschool Day:

• SOLD OUT! 10:00 AM Sir Circuits: Find out what makes the world tick in this circuit building class. Students will learn about the basics of electricity and what it means to complete a circuit. Once they have mastered the basics, students will attempt to create their own basic electrical machine! Activity does not include a take home electrical machine. Age Recommendation 8+

• 10:00 AM Homefront Flashlights: Learn about supply and demand during WW2 and how individuals made do with the materials they had (i.e. Homefront flashlights). Furthermore, learn about how electricity is transferred and how flashlights can be utilized to practice Morse code. Activity includes wire, battery, and bulb.

  Includes a take home item.

  Age Recommendation 8+

• 11:15 AM Morse Code: Learn about the importance      and usage of the morse code system. From the morse code alphabet,      deciphering messages, and using your sense of hearing, students will      immerse themselves in this one of a kind experience as it takes place in      our of our original radio rooms. Age Recommendation 9+

• 11:15 AM The Art of Camouflage: Learn about biomimicry and      how we have utilized nature for hundreds of years to help camouflage us      from our enemy. Furthermore, put your knowledge to the test and see if you      can become one with your surrounding environment.

  Age Recommendation 5+

• SOLD OUT! 11: 15 AM Going Dark and Sound Waves (tonoscope): Learn about the importance of going dark and how detrimental it was to keep quiet otherwise your position could be given away. Furthermore, expand your senses as we turn sound waves in a visual experience as you create your own tonoscope.
